UNMC Board of Counselors names officers, welcomes new members

The University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Board of Counselors elected officers for 2009 at its recent annual board meeting. Officers are: Rick Kolkman, chairperson, North Platte; and Don Goldstein, vice chairperson, Omaha. Kolkman is president of First National Bank of North Platte. Goldstein is with Penske Truck Leasing in Omaha.

The group welcomed nine new members at the meeting held at the Sorrell Center for Health Science Education on the UNMC campus in Omaha.

The UNMC Board of Counselors is a group of 62 community and business leaders from across the state who advise UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., on health care issues of importance.
