Quick, think of five things others should know about you.
That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee or student to feature.
This week, we feature Cindy Mitchell, outreach program associate in International Health and Medical Education.
Here, in her own words, are five fun facts about Cindy:
- I love to travel. I have been to Afghanistan, Paris, all around the United States and into Canada and Mexico. I really want to go to Africa and I’d love to visit China to see the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to see the Christ the Redeemer statue.
- I’m originally from a small town just north of Minneapolis. My husband and I moved to Omaha in 1981 and we stayed because it felt really good here.

- My favorite movie is “American Beauty,” and my second favorite movie is “Pulp Fiction.”
- My favorite food is chocolate. Chocolate can be considered a favorite food, right?
- I love to read political espionage books.
