The presentation will be held Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Durham Museum in its photo archive area.
With more than 500,000 images, the archive covers from 1860-1970 through the eyewitness accounts of 10 Omaha photographers.
Participants will assist in the re-housing of photo negatives and learn about proper preservation techniques that they can apply to their own photo collections.
Participants are encouraged to bring in a small number of photos (maximum 10) or photo-related objects (maximum two) for one-on-one consultations related to best preservation techniques.
Seating is limited to 12 participants. Contact Jill Carson at jlcarson@unmc.edu to reserve your spot today.
