Warm weather means Omaha’s Keystone Trail will again be inundated with medical center cyclists on Wednesday evenings. And yes, that includes this evening.
Each week in the spring and summer and early fall, medical center cyclists partake in “Wednesdays on the Trail.”
There is no official start or stop time for the ride and each cyclist can pedal at his or her own pace.
Many medical center cyclists do, however, stop at Sam and Louie’s New York Pizzeria at 7461 Cass St., just east of the trail to take advantage of a special medical center offer for $10.99 single-topping pizzas.
Most medical center cyclists converge on the restaurant starting about 7 p.m., said Peter Pellerito of the Center for Healthy Living and a regular Wellness on the Trail rider.
