Quick, think of five things others should know about you.
That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee or student to feature.
This week, we feature Sara Cizek Going, a government relations specialist.

- My husband Scott and I attended high school together, but we didn’t start dating until we reunited in law school. I am inspired by Scott, a Type 1 diabetic since early childhood who takes impeccable care of himself, never complains and is one of the most intelligent people I know.
- At home, I serve as the referee between our 18-month-old son, Nolan, and our dog, a 120-pound Bullmastiff named Ruby. Nolan doesn’t understand that Ruby is a dog, not a horse, and her tail does not double as a leash.
- While I try to keep things running smoothly, I seem to misplace or lose things with unfortunate regularity. Usually, it’s my car keys, but during a recent trip to Maui, I lost my brand new cell phone in the ocean.
- For the past 7 years, I have served as the radio color commentator for my former team — the Creighton women’s basketball team. Go Jays!
- To hone my underdeveloped domestic skills, I’m planting a container garden this spring, and I’ll take any advice I can get!
Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
