Two weeks ago they all correctly called for Nebraska to beat Kansas State. That was the second straight-week they had all accurately predicted Husker wins.
Their records heading into the final regular season match up now sit at:
- Robert Zatechka, M.D., 10-0
- Jeffrey Hill, M.D., 9-1
- Lisa Runco and Chad Kelsay, otherwise known as Team Runco/Kelsay, 8-2.
Their like-mindedness reached eerie proportions this week as they made their Colorado picks. See their predictions below and pay close attention to the score forecasts.
Dr. Zatechka says, “The way that Nebraska and CU have been playing the past few weeks, I think it’s a pretty safe bet to pick NU to beat Colorado. The Buffs have been slowed all year by inconsistent quarterback play, injuries to key players and a lack of dominant line play. This has been most obvious in their inability to have any offensive production. They do still have some solid athletes on defense but the offensive woes have forced the defenders to live on the field for long stretches where their lack of depth has been exposed. I think NU’s recent offensive M.O. of long drives that chew up time of possession will continue on Friday and hopefully provide a springboard to Nebraska being invited to either the Gator Bowl or the Alamo Bowl.” NU 45, Colorado 17
Runco and Kelsay say, “BIG RED IS BACK! That phrase will be cemented in concrete if (NU Coach) Bo (Pelini) and the boys can pull off one last win against the ‘Puffaloes.’ An 8-4 season would be nothing to sneeze at and would set the stage for a good bowl effort. The Puffs, who are 5-6, have to win in Lincoln in order to have a chance at a bowl bid … so they may have some motivation. But CU has not been able to keep up with the Big 12’s high octane offenses and the ‘Joe Ganz O-machine’ is definitely high octane. Let the offense run in high gear and let the Blackshirts lay down the thunder!” NU 45, Colorado 17
Dr. Hill says, “The Huskers are rolling. They have a pretty good bowl game looming. The defense is hot. The ‘O’ is scoring a lot of points. I think this is an easy pick.”NU 45, Colorado 17
