All UNMC, UNMC Physicians and The Nebraska Medical Center employees, students, and their families are invited to attend the free event.
Those attending can enjoy the museum’s latest display, “Diego Rivera: Masterworks from the Museo de Arte del Estado de Veracruz.”
Drawn from the collection of the Museum of Art of the State of Veracruz in Orizaba, Mexico, the 36 works in this exhibition survey the entire career of Diego Rivera, including his earliest work in Mexico. This exhibition, shown only at Joslyn, is the first time that this collection of Rivera works has traveled as a group outside of Mexico.
Guided tours of the exhibit will be available at 2 p.m. and a special art making project will be available in the Omaha Steaks Conference Room.
Those planning to attend are asked to show their UNMC identification badges at any Joslyn admissions desk for free admission.
The Passport Partners program offers employees, students and their families free admission to the museum, as well as other programs throughout the year on the medical center campus and at the museum.
Free admission to the museum can be obtained any time throughout the year by presenting a valid identification badge.
