Quick, think of five things others should know about you.
That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee to feature.
This week, we feature Donna Vandemark, office associate I for the Rural Health Education Network.

- My husband and I will be celebrating our 50th anniversary next month. For those who said it couldn’t be done — WRONG!
- I love kids — we have three grown daughters with mates, nine grandchildren and two great grandkids.
- I love family gatherings — birthdays, holidays, picnics, potlucks and weddings. I’ve made wedding cakes for most of the nieces and nephews — makes a pretty good dent in their expenses and I enjoy doing it.
- As the oldest of six kids, I learned responsibility, patience, diversion tactics, compromise and the value of a good threat.
- I’m participating in a DNA study through a National Geographic program to track my maternal ancestry (my brother is tracking Dad’s side). I look forward to seeing where we REALLY came from.
Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
