Wife of UNMC dental student hurdles into Olympic finals

Priscilla Lopes-Schliep, wife of UNMC dental student, Bronsen Schliep, will attempt to win an Olympic medal this morning when she competes in the women’s 100-meter hurdles in Beijing.

Priscilla Lopes-Schliep — wife of UNMC dental student, Bronsen Schliep — kept her Olympic dream alive on Monday night in Beijing (or Monday morning in Nebraska).

The former Nebraska track star, who runs the 100-meter hurdles for Canada, advanced to the Olympic finals by running a 12.67 in the semifinals.

She will continue her pursuit of an Olympic medal this morning when she runs in the finals, which are set to start at 9:30 a.m. Central Daylight Time.
