Veterans Affairs Secretary James B. Peake, M.D., is in Omaha today touring the Omaha VA Medical Center and making an assessment of the physical condition of the facility.
Secretary Peake will be meeting with two Nebraska elected officials – Sen. Ben Nelson and Rep. Lee Terry — along with other key Omaha community leaders, including UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., and the Rev. John Schlegel, S.J., president of Creighton University.
A news conference featuring Secretary Peake, Sen. Nelson and Rep. Terry will be held at noon at the Omaha VA Medical Center.
