Connie Monjaraz |
Monjaraz was recognized in a special supplement the paper ran in recognition of National Nurses Day, which was Tuesday.
Monjaraz was nominated to receive the award by eight different people. Here are
some comments from one of her nominators, which illustrate why she was recognized:
“Connie Monjaraz … would come over to my house to check on my sick son who was going through cancer treatments and had to have a daily shot. She would change his dressings, give him his shot and morale support. Her smile always was
welcoming. She would come in a heartbeat whenever needed. She would do
this for anyone, anytime, anywhere. We call her Angel Connie.”
