This week, we feature Karen Sum, an office associate in the department of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. Here, in her own words, are five facts about Karen.

- I enjoy learning and using computer software such as Web design, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Publisher and others. I am very computer literate.
- I am a grandmother to four very active grandsons — ages 3, 11 months and 6 months.
- My husband and I travel a lot. We have been to Hawaii, Alaska and plan to go to Italy in the next year.
- I am very crafty. I knit, sew, crochet, scrapbook and make Christmas crafts.
- I am a wedding coordinator at our church and am the treasurer of our homeowners’ association.
