Biofuels, food safety and alternative agriculture focus of 2007 Ag Conference

Trends in Midwestern agriculture, ergonomic interventions in California agriculture and USDA regulations.

These are just a few of the topics that will be focused on at the 2007 Ag Conference to be held Nov. 14-16 in Omaha. The conference is sponsored by The North American Agromedicine Consortium, Iowa Center for Agricultural Safety and Health, University of Iowa and the University of Nebraska Medical Center Rural Health Education Network.

The conference will feature public and occupational health issues of three leading edge movements in U.S. agriculture – biofuels, food safety and alternative agriculture.

The conference will be held at the Embassy Suites-Downtown and will begin on Nov. 14 with a networking dinner, followed by a full day of seminars on Nov. 15 and tours of a cattle company and a biofuels operation in Mead, Neb., and the Soaring Wings Vineyard in Springfield, Neb.

Pre-registration is requested. The deadline to register is Nov. 5.
