UNMC College of Dentistry freshman class ranks #1 again
For the tenth time in the past 14 years, the incoming freshman class at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry has had the highest incoming grade point average of any first-year dental school class in the country.
This year’s freshman class edged out Harvard University and the University of Texas Health Science Center.
It’s an accomplishment that bodes well for the College of Dentistry, said John Reinhardt, D.D.S., dean of the UNMC College of Dentistry.
“The caliber of students who have chosen to attend the UNMC College of Dentistry is a reflection of the caliber of our programs,” he said. “We should all be proud that the college continues to attract the best and brightest.”
Nearly 1,050 candidates applied for the 47 spots in this year’s incoming dental class, Dr. Reinhardt said.
