Katalin Rabl, Ph.D., ophthalmology, is the grand prize-winner in the fifth annual International Photography Contest, sponsored by UNMC International Studies and Programs.
Dr. Rabal’s prize-winning photo, titled “Mid-Summer, Middle-European Dreams,” shows a homeless man lying on a bench while the world races by. The photo was taken in Europe.
Carolyn Nussrallah, pulmonary medicine, captured first-place in the faculty/staff category with her entry, “Morning in Wadi Rum.” In the photo, Bedouin children are featured against the red sandstone hills in Wadi Rum, Jordan.
