A total of 298 first-year students in UNMC’s Colleges of Dentistry, Medicine and Pharmacy, as well as the School of Allied Health Professions’ Physician Assistant Program, took part in their annual white coat ceremony. During each ceremony, students received their white coats and took a “Pledge of Professionalism” or a student oath.
This month, 46 students in UNMC’s Division of Radiation Science Technology Education (RSTE) participating in a pinning ceremony, their formal introduction to the field.
Each RSTE student received a button-sized, circular, red pin, which symbolizes the student’s dedication to the highest principles of respect, competency, service and integrity, was the high point of the division’s annual pinning ceremony.
The RSTE division includes the following programs: diagnostic medical sonography; nuclear medicine; radiography; radiation therapy; CT/MRI; and cardiovascular interventional technology.
