Susie Thorne
Experience a new twist on mainstream jazz standards from be-bop to Latin with Susie Thorne. Inspired by such legendary artists as Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O’Day, and Carmen McCray, jazz singer Susie Thorne studied at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, performed for a loyal following in Japan and Hong Kong, and, upon her return to Omaha, released her first CD, “Love for Sale,” which was greeted with critical acclaim and won her comparisons to Diana Krall.

Backed by a host of exceptional musicians, she will enchant you with her cool renditions of the classics and unique vocal stylings. Thorne’s arrangements are diverse and cover an array of popular jazz songs and ballads like Clifford Brown’s “Joyspring,” Billie Holiday’s “Summertime,” Hoagy Carmichael’s “Georgia,” and Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why.”
