Family honors loved one with donation

picture disc. The family of Karen Larsen has donated $2,000 to UNMC for pancreatic cancer research. The Underwood, Iowa, woman died Dec. 1, 2004, from pancreatic cancer. Jean Grem, M.D., UNMC professor of oncology and hematology, and a nationally recognized expert on gastrointestinal cancer spoke with Larsen’s family about pancreatic cancer research. Pictured, from left, is Larsen’s husband Art, daughter Wendy Martin, son Doug and Dr. Grem.
