In selecting Dr. Booth for the award, students cited his organizational skills, approachability and willingness to answer questions, in and outside of class. Each year, he also organizes a microbiology review to help students study for their board exams.
While accepting his award, Dr. Booth unfolded a sheet of paper, saying he had some people to thank, then continued to unfold the paper until he revealed a sign saying “Class of 2006.”
Dr. Dalton’s wife Robyn accepted the award on his behalf. Dr. Dalton died Sept. 1, 2004.
