The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry is offering a free seminar to dentists and dental hygienists, that provides updates in dentistry, May 10 through 13, during its traveling 17th Annual Continuing Education Caravan. Those who attend will receive 3.5 hours of free continuing dental education credit.
The caravan will stop at Mahoney State Park, Grand Island, North Platte and Alliance.
Topics to be presented include treatment options for the endentulous arch and how to effectively treat patients who are on blood thinners during routine or complex dental procedures and minimize bleeding. In addition, John Reinhardt, D.D.S., dean of the UNMC College of Dentistry, will present a brief update on education, research, patient care and outreach activities at the college. Dr. Reinhardt is available for media interviews following his presentation.
The programs will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at each of the following locations:
May 10 — Mahoney State Park (between Omaha and Lincoln) on the lower level (must pre-register to attend this site only, call (402) 472-1272)
May 11 — Grand Island, Holiday Inn Interstate
May 12 — North Platte, Quality Inn & Suites (Sandhills Convention Center)
May 13 Alliance, Alliance Learning Center, 1750 Sweetwater Street
