Beginning today, UNMC Today is launching a new feature designed to highlight some of the 3,700 men and women who are the backbone of UNMC and its success.
The feature, titled “Getting to Know ‘U,’ ” allows employees to share such tidbits of information as their favorite book, greatest pet peeve, life goal and most prized possession.
“It’s an opportunity for the UNMC family to learn more about their co-workers’ lives beyond the office, lab or classroom,” said Karen Burbach, editor of UNMC Today. “Given the size of UNMC, we often know a person’s title or job responsibility, but little about them personally. ‘Getting to Know ‘U’ ‘ will help us better connect with everyone on campus.”
UNMC employees are encouraged to submit their information via the online form on the UNMC Today Intranet (info.unmc.edu). Entries, along with the individual’s photo, will be posted as they are received. Call 559-7377 with questions.
