The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing and the
Lincoln and Omaha Nebraska Student Nurse Association chapters, invite the
public to learn about nursing career and educational opportunities during
an open house in Lincoln on Saturday, March 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. The event
will take place at the University of Nebraska Lincoln student union ballroom
located on 14th and R Streets in Lincoln.
The open house will provide the opportunity to explore nursing as a
career, said. Dani Eveloff recruiting coordinator for UNMC College of
Nursing. Information about UNMC College of Nursing undergraduate, graduate
and doctoral programs, including degrees available through distance technology,
as well as tuition reimbursement, loan repayment and financial aid, also
will be available.
Nursing students and graduates are highly recruited from across the
nation. The jobs are almost unlimited because of the nursing shortage,
said Eveloff. The nursing shortage in Nebraska continues to be a problem.
If it is addressed successfully more students will become aware of the
potential opportunities in a nursing career.
