The 2002-03 UNMC operating budget has been balanced and loaded into the SAP financial management system.
“Congratulations to everyone who worked on preparing this year’s budget,” said John Adams, director of strategic planning and budget.
The July 1, 2002, budget grew by 5.2 percent over the prior year’s July 1 budget. The 5.2 percent reflects budget numbers prior to the Legislature’s latest round of university cuts. UNMC continued to be mainly self-supporting, with only 29 percent of its funding coming from state general fund appropriations.
Updated budget information will be published following the scheduled Sept. 10 budget reduction announcement.
