R. Ellen Davis-Hall, Ph.D., associate professor and academic coordinator for UNMC’s Division of Physician Assistant Education, has received one of two Equity in Opportunity Administrative Fellowships for academic year 2002-2003.
The fellowships provide an opportunity for recipients to gain administrative experience through part-time assignments in the university’s central administration.
Dr. Davis-Hall earned her Ph.D. in psychiatry and gerontology in 1990 and her master’s degree in psychiatry in 1985 from UNMC, and her bachelor’s degree (1977) and physician assistant certificate (1976) from Stephens College in Columbia, Mo.
The other recipient is Bryan Samuel, executive assistant to the vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
The purpose of the fellowships is to increase professional opportunities for University of Nebraska faculty and administrative staff members and to encourage them to consider pursuing senior administrative positions. Participants in the program are released from some of their normal duties to allow them to engage in fellowship activities.
