On a warm and windy Thursday, more than 1,500 people celebrated the kick off of the UNMC College of Medicine’s 100th anniversary of joining the University of Nebraska.
UNMC/NHS employees enjoyed ice cream while listening to the sounds of the River City Ragtime band and watching a fish-throwing contest on the lawn between NHS Clarkson Hospital and the Eppley Cancer Institute.
T-shirts commemorating the anniversary were available for $6. In the future, the shirts will be sold outside the Nebraska Café. Watch UNMC Today for details on other yearlong anniversary plans.
