The Olson Center for Womens Health at the University of Nebraska
Medical Center invites the public to attend Heart Health in Women, on
Wednesday, April 17, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Omaha Marriott in Regency,
10220 Regency Circle.
The lecture, which will feature two UNMC cardiologists, also includes
dinner. Monique Kusler, M.D. will discuss, hormone therapy for heart disease
prevention, whileScott Shurmur, M.D. will talk about other factors affecting
heart disease. Keynote speaker will be Juli Burney, a local humorist. Her
presentation is titled, They Who Laugh, Last.
Cost for the lecture is $20, including dinner. Nurses who wish to earn
three hours of credit can attend for $35.
Deadline for sign-up is April 10. Participants can sign up by sending
a check or money order, made out to UNMC, to Olson Center for Womens Health,
