UNMC and NHS employees, students and their families can receive discounted admission to UNMC’s Health and Technology Day Saturday, Feb. 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Strategic Air and Space Museum. With an employee ID, admission to the museum and events is $5 for adults and $2 for children.
Speakers from UNMC will tell about the latest uses of technology during surgery, including minimally invasive surgery and robotics in the clinical laboratory. Also, the UNMC College of Nursing’s mobile nursing center will provide free blood pressure checks and diabetes screening. The Kids on the Block, a program to educate children about disability awareness and social concerns, will present shows about cerebral palsy and visual and hearing impairments.
