The McGoogan Library of Medicine is now accepting applications from UNMC students, faculty, staff and patients who would like to display their artwork in the UNMC Art Showcase, located in the Linder Library Lounge. The protected showcase display holds a variety of media, including painting, pencil, photography and texture. A locked display case features three-dimensional artwork.
All artwork must be ready for presentation (framed with wiring so it can be hung). The spring semester deadline for applications is Monday, Feb. 11.
To apply, you’ll need to send:
- Name, phone and e-mail address
- College affiliation and indicate whether you are a student, faculty or staff member, patient or friend of UNMC
- A color photograph of the artwork, as well as the title and dimensions of the work.
Applications may be dropped off at the library’s circulation desk, mailed internally to “Art Showcase, WH 6004, ZIP 6705,” or the digitized photo and information may be sent to mtourek@unmc.edu. For more information call 559-7226.
The ongoing project is sponsored by the McGoogan Library of Medicine and the UNMC Faculty Women’s Club, with support from the Chancellor’s Fund and the College of Medicine Alumni Association.
