UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln Invites Public to View Midwest’s Largest Collection of Dental Artifacts Dating back to 1850s

The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry, located

in Lincoln, invites the public to its free, annual Dental Museum open house,

September 4-8, at which the museum puts its entire collection on display.

The museum sports one of the largest regional collections of historical

dental equipment and artifacts dating from 1850s.

The UNMC College of Dentistry is located at 40th & Holdrege

Streets on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

This year, the museum will display its largest collection ever with

the help of donors, said Stan Harn, Ph.D., UNMC College of Dentistry professor

of oral biology and curator of the museum. We expect the open house to

be the largest display ever. We have purchased a number of items from other

museums.

The museum will be open during the following dates and times:

Sept. 4 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sept. 5 and 6, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Sept. 7 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sept. 8 — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
