Each week, Becky Anderson, a genetic counselor at the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation at UNMC, hosts the half-hour talk show that features two panelists and 10 audience members from the Omaha community.
Topics for upcoming shows include: Oct. 20 — Treating Attention Deficit Disorder: Are We Over-medicating Our Children?; Oct. 27 — Physicians Roles as Healers: Is There Room for Others?; and Nov. 3 — Medicare Reform: How Broken is the System?
Fifteen shows have been taped to date and dealt with such topics as cancer research, Viagra, health maintenance organizations, diet pills, herbal medicine, and aging. The show is taped at O2TV studios at 115th and Dodge Streets.
UNMC is looking for people from the community who would like to be part of the studio audience and who are willing to ask a question or share their opinions about the topic of discussion. Anyone interested in being an audience member should call UNMC at (402) 559-4353.
