UNMC College of Dentistry’s Educational Caravan Offers Dentists, Hygienists Free Seminar on Dentistry Updates

The University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Dentistry is
offering a free, four-hour seminar providing updates in dentistry to dentists
and dental hygienists. The event is the college’s annual Continuing Education
Caravan.



This year’s caravan will make stops at Mahoney State Park between Omaha
and Lincoln, Grand Island, North Platte and Alliance between May 11 and
14. Each stop is open to all dentists, dental hygienists and dental support
staff.

The updates in dentistry includes a review of dental substances used
for plaque control and treating gum disease. Also included is a lecture
on the internal and external preservation of roots.

The programs will run from 1 to 5 p.m. on each of the following locations
and dates:

Omaha/Lincoln — Mahoney State Park — Monday, May 11, Park Lodge;

Grand Island — Tuesday, May 12, Holiday Inn Interstate;

North Platte — Wednesday, May 13, Stockman Inn;

Alliance — Thursday, May 14, Alliance Country Club.

The program will include a report from College of Dentistry Dean Stephen
Leeper, D.D.S. Myron Pudwill, D.D.S, assistant dean for student and alumni
affairs, will provide a greeting and introductions. Main speakers will
be Gerald Tussing, D.D.S, professor and chair of the surgical specialties
department and Tom Gound, D.D.S., assistant professor in the department
of surgical specialties, section of endodontics.
