Education

The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is committed to providing excellence in education to our residents in training as well as medical students.

Our training program provides robust "hands-on" neurosurgery training in a collegial, supportive environment. Our residents have experience in private and academic practices of neurosurgery through rotations at Nebraska Medicine, Nebraska Methodist Hospital, and Children's Nebraska. The combination of experience at a major tertiary/quaternary academic medical center and in community-based environments gives our residents excellent exposure to the full spectrum of adult and pediatric neurosurgical disorders.

We are equally committed to our medical students, both from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and outside institutions. We welcome both M3 and M4 students to get involved with research, conferences and rotate with us through our sub-internship program.
