Our fellowship-trained spine surgery faculty are highly skilled and provide surgical treatment opportunities for our trainees for all forms of pathology of the spine including:
- Degenerative disease
- Trauma
- Spine deformity (including scoliosis)
- Craniocervical junction disorders (including Chiari malformation)
- Syringomyelia
- Infections
- Tumors of the vertebrae, nerves or spinal cord.
Our residents are an integral part of our healthcare team which includes allied health professionals, fellowship-trained surgeons, pain management specialists and physiatrists.
Treatments include
- pain injections
- nerve ablations
- spinal cord stimulators
- analgesia infusion devices
- Navigation-assisted and robotic-assisted surgery
- Custom spinal implants
- Carbon-fiber screws for tumor surgery
- Minimally-invasive (MIS) or ‘keyhole’ surgery of the spine
We provide many unique spine research opportunities for our trainees, striving to allow each resident to reach their potential not only as a physician, but as a scientist as well.
