Divisions
The Department of Neurosurgery at UNMC is composed of six divisions led by world-class neurosurgeons.
In addition to being fully trained in all aspects of neurosurgery, our faculty members have subspecialty training in their unique areas of expertise, and have trained at the best institutions in the U.S. More important than their superb training and technical skills, however, is their unfailing commitment to training the next generation of neurosurgeons.
Our trainees have the opportunity to learn from our expert faculty within the vibrant, collaborative, multispecialty environment that is UNMC and Nebraska Medicine, in order to provide the state-of-the-art care appropriate for the treatment of complex neurosurgical disorders. This highest quality of care spans the entire gamut of neurosurgery, with clinical programs offered in surgical neuro-oncology, functional, spinal, pediatric, trauma, and cerebrovascular neurosurgery, providing an unparalleled experience for our trainees.
