The Family Care Enhancement Project places parent resource coordinators with a range of perspectives in clinics to provide information and support to families who have children with disabilities and complex health care needs.

Our Purpose

  • Help families connect with Early Development Network services.
  • Offer statewide assistance to support families who have children with disabilities or complex health care needs.
  • Bring disability issues to the forefront of medical, social and policy conversations.

Parent Resource Coordinators

Parent resource coordinators are parents or family members of children with complex health care needs or disabilities. They have specialized training and share lived experience with the families they support. They act as community health workers, linking families to the services and support they need.

Clinic Locations

Parent resource coordinators are located at the Munroe-Meyer Institute and in clinics across Nebraska.
