Community Outing Club

Events and outings with peers provide inclusive activities and opportunities to explore our wonderful community.

The Community Outing Club provides adult participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to attend concerts, sporting events, movies, bowling, activities at MMI and more across the Omaha metro area. This program helps participants feel a sense of belonging and grow as individuals.

  • Individuals age 18 and older are invited to participate.

Details and Schedule

Each group includes six to eight participants, four to five activity technicians and is supervised by a trained recreation therapist.

  • The Community Outing Club is offered once a month and is typically scheduled on weekends.
  • Space in this program is limited.
  • Transportation is typically provided from our location to the event and back to MMI.
  • There is a fee for this program and scholarships may be available.
