Clinic-based occupational therapy-focused camps are offered throughout the year as self-pay or fee for service.

Handwriting Camp

Elementary-aged students receive focused handwriting instruction in individual or small group sessions using the Learning without Tears© materials and instructional strategies. Children will be paired with other camp members based on similar writing levels as indicated on their camp application.

Shoe-Tying Camp

Learning to tie shoelaces for the first time can be very rewarding, but it takes perseverance and practice. During this shoe-tying camp, children gain strong fine motor skills, bilateral hand coordination, visual perceptual skills, hand-eye coordination, and hand strength to increase their ability to tie their shoes with increased success.

LEGO® Camp

Elementary-aged children will have fun exploring our large collection of LEGO® blocks and bricks while tackling weekly cooperative and individual challenges. Children will meet friends, build hand strength, increase problem solving, and spark creativity.

Arts and Crafts Camp

Elementary-aged children will enjoy creating a new creative craft every session while increasing their fine motor, visual perception, bilateral hand coordination, and hand strength.

Social Skills Camp

Provides opportunities to increase social interaction skills with similar-aged peers! Helpful for children who struggle with making new friends, have difficulty with sportsmanship skills, and have trouble with starting or carrying on conversations.

Daily Living Skills Camp

Introduces daily living skills to prepare individuals for independent living or performing tasks with further independence while at home. Participants learn the basics of a different living each week, including money management, housework, community mobility and health care management.

Cooking Camp

Teaches meal preparation and the many components that go along with that daily task. This includes understanding the basics of grocery shopping, using utensils, cutting a variety of fruits and vegetables, basic microwave use, and following a simple recipe.

Sensory Camp

Explores the eight sensory systems and helps children identify their likes and dislikes for smells, tastes and touch. Increases a child’s ability to self-regulate through hands-on activities for each sensory system.
