Movement Disorders Clinics

This multidisciplinary clinic is for adults with a family history or indications of Huntington disease, hereditary ataxias or other movement disorders.
- Huntington disease is a progressive disorder of motor, cognitive and psychiatric disturbances. Indications may include movement disorders (a group of diseases that disrupt the signaling process), emotional and mental health issues, anxiety, depression, compulsions and obsessions.
- Hereditary ataxias are a clinically and genetically heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by slowly progressive incoordination of gait and often associated with poor coordination of hands, speech and eye movements.
Specialty Care
This clinic is a partnership between UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute and Nebraska Medicine and specialists from both groups provide services.
Multiple health care specialists work together in one clinic location to provide patients the most effective, comfortable and convenient care. You will see providers based on your individual needs.
