Aortopathy/Cardiovascular Genetics Clinic

The Aortopathy Clinic specializes in connective tissues disorders.

This clinic provides cardiovascular care and genetic diagnosis and/or counseling for adults with a current or suspected diagnosis of or individuals with family history of certain connective tissues disorders.

Specialty Care

This clinic is a partnership between UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute and Children’s Nebraska and specialists from both groups provide services.

Patients will meet with providers familiar with this disorder — a geneticist and cardiologist from Children's Nebraska and a genetic counselor from MMI's Department of Genetic Medicine.

Clinic Details

This clinic is available to children and adults with a current/suspected diagnosis of or family history of connective tissue disorders, including:

  • Familial aortic dissection.
  • Loeys-Dietz syndrome.
  • Marfan syndrome.
