Measure ASD Mod 2 is a research study that seeks to use eye tracking to diagnose ASD in children between the ages of 2.5 to 7 years old.

Eligibility Survey

If you are interested in participating in this study, we would like to ask you several short questions to see if you might be eligible. These questions will take about 5 minutes to complete.

Conditions to Participate

Your child may be eligible for this study if they are/have:

Male or female individuals between the ages of 31 - 84 months (2.5 - 7 years chronological age) at the time of consent.
Generally healthy with no acute illnesses.
Normal or corrected-to-normal vision with visual acuity and oculomotor function sufficient to watch short videos.
Hearing adequate to hear information presented in age-appropriate videos of social interactions.

Your child may not be eligible for this study if they have:

Known genetic disorders (e.g., Fragile X, Williams syndrome, Tuberous Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Neurofibromatosis, Down syndrome).
Severe hearing or visual impairment (e.g., congenital nystagmus, congenital cataracts, previous diagnosis of severe hearing deficits by otoacoustic emissions or auditory brainstem response).
Subject has an uncontrolled seizure disorder.
History or presence of a clinically significant medical disease or a mental state that might confound the study or be detrimental to the subject in the opinion of the investigator.

More Details

The research study will require one visit and will take about 4 hours. During the study visit your child will undergo clinical assessments and watch videos on the EarliPoint^TM Evaluation for Autism Spectrum Disorder device. This device will track where your child is looking as they watch the videos. Additionally, we will collect information about medical and developmental history and demographics.

This study is being conducted solely for research purposes and your participation is strictly voluntary. If you are interested in taking part, we will ask you to sign a form to indicate that you consent to taking part in the study. If you consent to participate, you may withdraw from the study at any time. You will receive compensation for participation in each of the study visits.
