Physical Therapy

In our current research, we combine expertise in rehabilitation sciences and engineering to improve function, activity and participation for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and children at risk for delays or disabilities. Our research team uses user-centered, family-friendly and play-based therapeutic approaches to develop and evaluate innovative technologies and interventions.

  • Hand Arm Bimanual Intensive Training in Virtual Reality.
  • Modified ride-on toy cars for children with mobility delays.
  • Early Intervention and caregiver eucational programs for families of young children with or at risk for developmental delays.
  • Pelvic floor physical therapy and sexual health education for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities .
