Community Engagement
MMI Community Engagement was established to create synergies between providers, agencies and stakeholders to build ongoing, permanent relationships.
These relationships will result in the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources as well as collaboration and partnerships. Together, we will create a collective vision to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and complex health care needs.
Community Impact
The importance of our community outreach program is seen in the many opportunities provided by MMI for the community to connect with and make a difference in the lives of others.

Celebrations
MMI participates in many initiatives that promote people and we invite you to join us! Browse our celebrations calendar and use your voice to foster change and transform lives.

Flamingo Flocking for Disabilities Awareness
Participate in our Flamingo Flocking fundraiser to promote developmental disability awareness. Contact us during the month of March to make a small donation and have a flock placed in the yard of a friend, neighbor or coworker.

Trick or Treating at MMI
Each October, MMI provides an accessible Halloween event for clients, patients and individuals with disabilities and their families to participate in sensory-friendly trick-or-treating fun at the Munroe-Meyer Institute.

Winter Event
After closing the year and opening our hearts to new possibilities, MMI provides a Winter Event for individuals with disabilities and their families to gather and share the new year's joy at the Munroe-Meyer Institute.

And More
But these are just a few. MMI is involved with other community events throughout the year that support initiatives important to people with disabilities.
Support MMI Through Donation
Private support from patients, families and friends plays a critical role in the Institute's success.

You are Welcome Here
MMI is committed to ensuring access to high-quality care for all patients and fostering welcoming spaces for faculty, staff and students to learn and work. We believe that promoting a sense of community positively impacts well-being and cultivates long-term relationships that broaden MMI’s reach and deepen our understanding in the communities we serve.
