Inclusive fun for the whole family.

Each October, MMI provides a Halloween event for individuals with disabilities and their families to participate in sensory-friendly (no loud music) trick-or-treating fun with the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Costumes are optional but encouraged.

October 2025

  • Date and time to be announced.
  • Accessible trick or treat stations will be spread throughout the first floor of MMI.
  • Treats and trinkets will be prepared and distributed by MMI personnel and community volunteers.

While many attendees and their families receive services at MMI, some are a part of the wider community, drawn by the accessible nature of the event and, in some cases, interested in learning more about MMI and the services we provide.

Be an Event Sponsor or Volunteer

This success of this event is owed to MMI employees and community partners who are committed to provide our community a safe, free and enjoyable experience. The number of table stations, volunteer list and of trick-or-treaters continues to grow. More than 750 guests attended the sixth annual event. Read the news article.

Opportunities are available for businesses, organizations and individuals who wish to make a positive impact within our community.
