High School Alliance | Speech
Observe, Shadow, Collaborate
MMI's Department of Speech-Language Pathology collaborates with UNMC High School Alliance to provide hands-on training for high school juniors and seniors. This allows students to work alongside speech-language pathology experts at the Munroe-Meyer Institute.
Job Shadow
High school students also can complete an individual job-shadowing experience with a speech-language pathologist.
- We accept students age 16 and older for job shadow.
- A job shadow experience lasts two to four hours.
- You will not have an opportunity to have hands-on patient care, just observe and ask questions.
Observations are available in the following areas:
- Adult.
- Pediatric.
- Hospital.
- Outpatient.
Please visit UNMC Job Shadowing to arrange a job shadowing experience.
