The University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute welcomes high school students to our facility to engage in a variety of educational opportunities.

Opportunities

Job Shadow

Individual job-shadowing experiences with a speech-language pathologist are offered to high school students by MMI's Department of Speech-Language Pathology in addition to opportunities for hands-on training through collaboration with the UNMC High School Alliance Program.

Program Volunteer

Students ages 13-26 can join MMI's Department of Recreational Therapy to provide support to program participants with developmental disabilities to ensure a safe and fun environment.

Tours

Tours of the institute are available from our community engagement office for educators to introduce their students to the many career options that transform the lives of individuals with disabilities.
