Georgia Ryba, BM, is a respite care associate at Nebraska's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute.

Through a partnership with the State of Nebraska's Department of Health and Human Services Nebraska Lifespan Respite Network, Ryba also serves as Nebraska's respite employer engagement coordinator. In this role, Ryba informs employers on the needs of working family caregivers and helps connect working caregivers to the the Nebraska Lifespan Respite Network.
Ryba also is a working caregiver. Her child has Autism Spectrum Disorder and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Although her background is in Music Education, she loves her profession as an advocate. Ryba joined the Munroe-Meyer Institute in 2019 as a registered behavior technician in the integrated Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders Department Early Intervention Program.
In her spare time, she loves to bake, read and play her flute. Ryba's own Respite time allows her to follow her hobbies and recharge her batteries, so that she can continue to balance work and caregiving.
Ryba serves individuals and families through programs offered at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.
