Mary Monahan, BA, MHEd

Mary Monahan, BA, MHEd, is a Parent Resource Coordinator for the Family Care Enhancement Project, part of the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute.

Professional Bio

Monahan's mission as a parent resource coordinator is to pass on the kindness, help, support and encouragement that was given to her family when one of their children received a diagnosis of developmental delays, hearing loss and other medical challenges. As a parent, it can be extremely overwhelming, stressful, and scary, and she is here to assist parents and caretakers in navigating and understanding this new world. Monahan wishes she had had someone who could have walked with her family during this difficult time in their lives and she is honored to help guide others to resources and services that will improve the lives of their children and family.
