Jennifer Hansen, BS

Jennifer Hansen, BS, is a Parent Resource Coordinator for the Family Care Enhancement Project, part of the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute.

Professional Bio

Hansen's desire to help families navigate the special needs world stems from her own personal experience of having a daughter with autism and an undiagnosed genetic disorder. Parents’ roles as advocates for their children with special needs is often overwhelming. Hansen knows firsthand how stressful and scary it can be to try to find appropriate resources and support. She is committed to helping families alleviate some of the difficulties associated with having a child with special needs by empowering them in their journey.
