Kouris works in an outpatient setting, specializing in autism spectrum disorder, speech-sound disorders and augmentative and alternative communication. Her clinical experience includes four years as a behavior technician in an early intervention program for children with autism. Since then, Kouris has provided speech and language services in a variety of settings, including Munroe-Meyer Institute’s early intervention for autism program, RiteCare pre-school and young adults with disabilities groups. She is also a member of Munroe-Meyer Institute’s multidisciplinary Autism Diagnostic Clinic.

Kouris utilizes her previous training in applied behavior analysis and as a behavior technician to integrate principles of behavior and evidence-based practice into her diagnostic evaluations and therapy methods. She also implements a strong focus on functional communication, as well as collaboration with families, educators and peers to facilitate the continuity of care across settings and communication partners.
