Professional Bio

Lafo is the Speech-Language Pathology LEND Clinical Fellow at UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute. She provides speech and language services in the Integrated Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, the RiteCare Clinic of Omaha at MMI, and in collaboration with the Severe Behavior department. Lafo’s research examines effective caregiver training methods for use of augmentative and alternative communication, and comparing instructive feedback and language modeling in behavior analysis and speech pathology. 

In addition to completing her Master’s degree in speech-language pathology at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Lafo completed behavior analytic coursework and practicum training. She continues to work towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
